Review and Giveaway!: Little Carr “Cover-Me” Strap

Ok, wow! This is the most reasonably priced life-saver I’ve seen! If you are a nursing mom, then you should definitely check out Little Carr’s “Cover-Me” strap for nursing Moms. Initially, it just sounded like a good idea, then I tried it and it’s better than that!

First off, I am not opposed to nursing in public- I am opposed to certain people seeing my breasts. For example, I was at my children’s great-grandparent’s house. Do I love them for loving my children? Yes! Do I want them looking at my breasts? No! I whipped out my Cover-Me strap and let baby Adam have his mid-morning lunch. No one (meaning me) was uncomfortable and I didn’t have to leave the room as I always did with Anastasia. Use the Cover-Me strap anywhere you’d like privacy where you would not normally find it. I’ve used it in several family and outdoor situations and will be using it at the Minnesota State Fair in just a few days! Yippee!

The Cover-Me Strap is a simple idea; it’s an adjustable length strap with tight-holding clips on either end. Each strap is only $12.00. To use it, you find a blanket or drape in the size that you prefer, slip the Cover-Me strap around your neck, clip each end of the strap to the blanket (it ends up looking like a huge bib). Your blanket then hangs around your neck. Just place the blanket over you and your baby while nursing in public and you are off!

This strap can be as short as nine inches or as long as nineteen inches. It’s not elastic so baby can’t pull it by squirming. The fabric is a little scratchy on the edges, but worth it to keep un-wanted eyes off of you; it’s really not that troublesome. There are eight patterns of Cover-Me Strap to choose from- all cute- you can definitely find one you like. The Cover-Me folds up to about the size of a lipstick case, so you will not have to take up extra space in your diaper bag or purse. You will, though, just have to remember where you put it (I now have a special exterior pocket for my Cover-Me) so it does not get lost amongst the diapers.

Functionality: ****. The Cover-Me Strap does exactly what it is supposed to do. It lets you shield yourself when nursing in public. Easy to use- just practice before leaving the house so you have the “juggling” of baby, breast, and blanket down.

Cost: ****. It’s a $12.00 lifesaver. Totally worth each penny. Also, their website offers free shipping!

Style: ****. There are eight patterns to choose from, each fun and feminine. Simple design.

Overall Rating: ****. Aside from a little scratching on the neck and taking it for a practice run, I can’t think of anything you wouldn’t like about it. Excellent value for the privacy and comfort.
