When Adam arrived, a wonderful family member sent us two toys; one for Adam and one for Anastasia. Both are from the fabulous Rosie Hippo. Ahhh, both are wooden, painted ones that do not annoy. Only a Mom-run business would hit the nail on the head like this!
As a KBP Mom, I am a strong believer in toys that encourage imagination. I also prefer toys that are not loud, plastic and annoying. I will admit to having “misplaced” several of Anastasia’s most egregiously loud ones- you know, or the batteries “run out”. Such mishaps will not happen with these. Adam received an all-wooden set of colorful stacking rings that fit on a board with pegs. Currently, it is religiously being tested by Anastasia who began with stacking and ordering but now insists they are “cupcakes” in her kitchen. See? Imagination! I love it! You can also order replacement rings which is genius as one of those "cupcakes" is bound to disappear.
She also, personally, received a set of “nesting dolls” or as I know them, “Russian Dolls”. It is a beautiful blue painted set of five lovely ladies that Anastasia loves to put together and take apart- then put together and take apart. As a bonus, it’s a toy that looks nice in your house. We have it displayed with other knick-knacks because it is so pretty.
While I could not possibly list the range of toys Rosie Hippo carries, some that caught my eye are wooden cars and trucks, a beautiful wooden kitchen play set, plush (organic) dolls, wooden rattles and teethers, and they even carry art supplies, books and music. I guess what this all comes down to is that someone tipped me off to a great store and I wanted to share that find! Happy browsing, I hope you are as happy with their items as I am!
