Review: Eight3one Tees

I feel that we are slowly entering a phase where I am not the boss of my preschooler's clothing anymore. That is why I was happy to find Eight3One- They have a whole selection of tees that meet my mom-standards of cuteness and washability and Lilly's preschool standards of cool! In fact, when the package first arrived containing this awesome ant shirt, Lilly was so delighted with it that she hugged it to her face and then promptly folded it up and took it to her closet. That might not seem all that exciting, but Lilly is just not that into either folding or putting stuff away, in general, so believe me, it was exciting! The real test of any shirt for Lilly, though, is a day in preschool. It is hard to see in this picture, but that t-shirt is down-right disgusting after a full day of building rocket ships outside, crawling through tunnels, painting, making play-dough, using markers and stamps, plus 2 meals and 2 snacks. (I should mention that I am not the wizard that my mom is at laundry stain removal and many of Lilly's items don't fair well in my hands.) A couple of squirts of my favorite stain-remover and a wash on cold and I'll be darned if that t-shirt wasn't clean as new!

In addition to many similar animal print shirts, Eight3One also offers onesies for the tiny ones and a line of darling little organic tees and pants like this cute elephant onesie.
And now for the official review...
All Reviews use a Four Star Scale

Comfort **** Eight3One t-shirts are made of 100% cotton and are super-soft and comfortable!

Washability and Wear **** Definitely 4 stars on this one- I was amazed that this t-shirt recovered from that particularly messy school day, but it did!

Sizing *** I know that having just size 2 and size 4 is pretty standard for toddler sizing in the t-shirt world, but that doesn't make it any less annoying when your kid is a size 3!

Cost ** At $26, it is a little on the pricey side and the truth is that I hesitate to spend $26 on shirts for myself, let alone for my preschooler to tromp around in. The company does offer free shipping on orders over $25, though so that helps. Also, because the shirt is such high quality and so many of the designs are gender-neutral, it will definitely get passed down to our little guy when the time comes! (So, really it is like spending $13 on a t-shirt for each of them, right??)
