I also wanted to take this opportunity to give a shout out to a great new website that we have learned about: GreenBabyBargains.com. The idea of the site, noted in their tag line is to allow you to, "Shop green one baby bargain at a time". Creators of the site, sisters Jennifer and Jill, do this by posting a great new eco-friendly baby item each day at prices well below retail. The item of the day is posted at noon each day (Monday through Friday) and when its gone its gone! For example, today's items were some adorable organic cotton crib sheets by Kee-Ka. These sheets are listed on other sites for $52- The GreenBabyBargain price? Just $14.99. I am not kidding. I am excited to tell you about this new site, not only because the concept is awesome, but also because it was started by two moms who are just down the road from me- in Livonia, Michigan. I don't know the GreenBabyBargains creators, but two moms offering really great deals on eco-friendly items for our kiddos seem like my kind of ladies!

GreenBabyBargains has a cute and very simple front page. The deal of the day is featured in the middle including a description and a listing of the "green factors" of the product. Along the right side are a number of options that you can click on to allow GreenBabyBargains to contact you about their great deals each day. Shoppers can stay updated by signing up for a daily alert email, an RSS feed, or by following GreenBabyBargains.com on Facebook and Twitter. I feel an addiction coming on!

So, what is the catch, you ask? Well, for one thing, like I said earlier, there is only one product featured each day and when its gone, its gone! No putting things in your cart and then coming back tomorrow to pay for them. The FAQ section of the site does note, however, that products not sold out during the week may be offered on the weekends. Another issue for some might be the return policy- There isn't one. Well, there is, but it basically says that you can't return stuff (unless the item arrives defective or damaged). The good news is that is that according to the site, "All of the products listed on GreenBabyBargains.com are high quality items from reputable, eco-conscious vendors" which ideally means that you won't have to do any returns.
