Review and Giveaway: Ralph's World!

Ok, so I totally know there are "kid" music fans out there and in today's vast choices of alternative kid music there is bound to be something out there you like, if you just look around. In fact, most times you need not look any further than your television set. That is where I first heard Ralph's World. I then went and downloaded "Happy Lemons" which is still my favorite CD from this artist.

Ok seriously there are several songs that I really do enjoy and pretty much all of Happy Lemons is a go for me. First of all "Happy Lemons" is a great song and whenever there is anarchy in my household, I run to my iPod and flip it on and it typically will switch the mood around. I mean because "everyone loves lemonade!" This song was our first sing a long song that both my 3 year old and 1 year old get into. I love how the songs are fun and have a good rhythm, but easy for my kids to learn and have fun singing to. He has been described as having a McCartneyesque style, which I think helps with parents enjoying his songs. Other favorites on this CD are "Belly Button" - come on what toddler does not want to show off their belly button! "Puddle of Mud" has really turned into one of the songs I appreciate most due to it being not about cheeriness and happiness and something funny. I mean is that not why we all enjoy different kinds of music, sometimes we just need to listen to something that fits are mood and "Puddle of Mud" helps when a kid is just blah and cannot tell you why, I mean we all get blah!

The two CD's I was sent were totally new to me and the two that you get a chance of winning along with his new book.

First, "Welcome to Ralph's World" was released in 2006 and is a great introduction to the best of Ralph. We love "Surfin' In My Imagination" this is the best song for listening to in the car and getting the kid's active, my 1 year old loves watching Bubba "wipe out" to this song. It is also a 2007 Parents' Choice Approved award winner. A super fun add on with this CD is that it is also a DVD with six music videos as seen on Playhouse Disney.

Second, "The Rhyming Circus" is Ralph's latest release has a lot of cute songs, but if you are not a kid music fan and really can barely stand it, this CD is definitely not the CD for
you to start out on when it comes to experiencing Ralph's World.

Third, my kids adore books, I am a lucky mom, even L who at the beginning was not enthralled with them now brings me books to read to her! I love it! So, to have a book that goes along with some of their favorite songs is an added bonus. The book is titled "Ralph's World Rocks" and is a compilation of Ralph's World lyrics with some pretty awesome artwork by Charise Mericle Harper.
