Considering Cloth? Review: Blueberry

Have you ever bought an article of clothing for yourself, let's say a sweater, that was a little bit too expensive, but was so beautiful and looked so good on you that each time you put it on you loved it more and cared less about how much it cost? The Minky Bamboo Velour diaper from Blueberry is the equivalent of that sweater in the cloth diaper world. Sure it costs more than the others, but it is totally awesome, so maybe it should cost more. Just look at it. To get a sense of what this Minky diaper feels like, go into your child's room and find the softest stuffed animal that he/she has--It is softer than that! Click on Read More to get a full review of this luxurious diaper.

Blueberry: The Basics
The company was started by a mom looking for more fun and fashion in the cloth diaper world. The materials used in Blueberry diapers come from the US and the products are made in a "professionally-run equal-opportunity facility"also located in the US. You can tell the extraordinarily high quality of the materials and manufacturing from the moment you touch their products. Blueberry offers a full line of different cloth diapers, including many kinds of one-size pocket diapers (two of which we reviewed) , some all in one training pants (yep, that's a pair of them in cheetah print on the right!), several different styles of diaper covers and these great Minky Wet Bags for cloth diapering on the go, which we also reviewed.
Blueberry--The Official Review (on a 4 star scale):
Comfort and Fit **** Another element that the website boasts is anatomically correct diapers and it is true- These diapers fit very well and seem to be among the most comfortable for the little guy. Both of ones that we tried are one-size diapers and since Max is a toddler, we have them set at the largest size, so, of course, I cannot comment on how well they snap up to fit a smaller baby, but they are perfect for him and even the inside is very soft and seems quite comfortable.
Washability **** So far, so good! These diapers have held up very well and come out looking good as new everytime!
Reliability **** No leaks! This is another diaper that I have heard people say they often save for night-time because of the outstanding reliability. My problem is that it is so stinkin cute that I would not want to hide under jammies! The inserts for the pocket diapers are made of 2 layers of microfiber terry designed to quickly absorb wetness and then 4 layers of cotton/hemp fleece to keep the wetness in. It works.
Ease of Use (Or, How they make cloth diapering easier even for a recent convert like me) *** The only reason that I say three stars is because if you do not have the instructions handy when trying to get the insert into place, it can be a little tricky to figure out. Of course, once it was explained to me, it makes perfect sense and if I had bothered to turn on the computer when I was struggling, I would have seem the handy-dandy pictures of the process! The website has a page of helpful information about cloth diapering in general. Like I said, we have these one-size diapers at the largest setting so I don't know what they are like at smaller settings, but the snapping up process to make them smaller is very simple.
Price The Minky Velour One Size Diaper that we reviewed runs about $33 and the regular One Size is about $28. Remember, though, that the one size is the most bang-for-your-buck since one will last you from tiny to toddler.

As the Blueberry website states, "Margarita McClure, the pioneering mother behind Blueberry Diapers, is bringing fun fashion to little bottoms everywhere." From what I can tell, she is doing a great job. Summer can't come fast enough this year so that the little guy can just wear a t-shirt and this awesome diaper!
