Whining & Dining- Review: Baby Bjorn Booster Seat

I don’t want to be too simplistic, but if you are looking for a booster, then just get the Baby Bjorn Booster Seat. I would recommend it to anyone. Simple, understated and serviceable. Inexpensive. That’s it.

It is a white, hard plastic booster. The seat is flat, it does not have a bump between the legs which makes it good for older kids, I think. The Baby Bjorn Booster has rubber along the base so that it will not slip when your kid squirms in it. It has a long strap (I mean it, long; long enough to fit around our wide, armed, dining room chairs!) that wraps under the base of your chair to affixes it to the chair’s seat. This strap clasps together with the metal-toothed clamp. This is excellent. The booster cannot come loose and you child will not be able to reach this clasp from the sitting position to detach it.

To illustrate how well this holds, Anastasia has scaled chairs (gracefully, of course) to get into this booster when our backs were turned and the chair did not budge.

The plastic wipes clean easily, has no nooks or crannies for crusty food to get stuck in. And, basically, I am all for this chair. It is so light, you can take it with you anywhere, and you won’t even notice it.

Here is my formal review, each category of four stars.

Functionality ****: Simple, easy to clean, stays put and gets your child to the table. I have nothing to suggest, it’s just a great product.

Style ****: Simple style, it’s just a seat. This simplicity makes the Baby Bjorn Booster so easy to clean.

Price ****: Full retail price is $35. You can get it for less at Amazon or, we all know that Babies R Us and Target always have deals. Worth the price. Grandparents should get one for their house.

Overall ****: Like I said at the outset, I would recommend this to anyone. I am so glad we got to try out this product!
