Review and Giveaway: Banjo to Beatbox CD

One would never imagine the coupling of banjos and beatbox, but that was the goal of the new "Banjo to Beatbox Cathy and Marcy w/Special Guest Christylez Bacon".

It's interesting and fun, but I felt that there wasn't enough melding of the two genres...one always outweighed the other. The more folksy songs like the upbeat "Jubilation" and the "Syncopated Washboard Rhythm Song" (yes that's the title of a kid's song?!) made me feel like I was at Disney Land which is not bad to me but some of you may not dig.

My favorite song "Hip Hop Humpty Dumpty" was the best compilation of the folk/beat box in my opinion and I actually wish the whole CD was made up of nursery rhymes done with this folk/beat box mix.

There are 8 total songs and my kids are not opinionated like me. They seemed to like them all and got their groove thang on. So, I think it's worth a listen and an $8 purchase if you're looking to add to your repertoire of kid's music.
