Review: Yunginz Kids Footwear

As you know from previous posts, I am huge fan of cute kid shoes of all kinds. That is why I was thrilled to be able to choose one of the many super-cute styles from Yunginz to review! Yunginz shoes are made in Australia and are designed to achieve that ever-elusive combination of both style and comfort for little feet. In addition to several different styles/colors of boots, the Yunginz winter collection also includes some dress shoes (on right), two colors of ballet flats, and two colors of basic mary-jane style shoes (left).

Materials and Durability:**** As my husband will tell you, the first thing that I do while shopping for kids shoes to to pick up the shoe and bend the sole in all direction to make sure that they are flexible enough. I will tell you that it is not only the fanciest and most expensive shoes that pass this test and, in many cases, quite the opposite. So, of course, when the Yunginz arrived in the mail this was the first thing I did and I was quite please with the results! The sole of these Red Pocket Boots is plenty sturdy enough for the toughest playground, but was really quite flexible. The outside is made of high quality leather (okay, I am no leather expert, but it looks high quality and it has held up very well so far!) and the inside has a soft lining.
Style: **** Definitely four stars here! The Red Pocket Boots are really cute and have a lot of little extra touches that make them "cool" as well! Lilly loves the little pocket on the side. Personally, I thought the combination of two straps to velcro and a zipper to close each time she put them on was going to be a little annoying- Boy, was I wrong- It seems that my little fashionista is so enamored by these features that she happily (and with ease!) puts them on by herself each time!
Price: Okay, well you got me here. These awesome Red Pocket Boots will set you back about $95. The botton line though is that high quality boots for kids are pretty expensive in general. If this seems like a lot to you, here are my suggestions for making this price less painful: have another daughter so you can pass them down or ask grandma to buy them. :)
Overall:**** I would say that I would give an overall four star rating to the product with an added caution about the price!
