As we all know, winter will be here before we know it, and that means toddlers and preschoolers with dripping wet, muddy, slush covered boots will soon start climbing back into our cars. It isn't until I have to take a car seat out of my car that I truly appreciate the genius of the car seat protectors I found when Nadia was about 2. The Prince Lionheart Car Seat Protectors do exactly what they say they do - protect your car seats. They fit underneath the car seat, and a mom the other day equated them to "a floor mat for your seat." This time of the year, they catch all the muddy water dripping off my children's rain boots, but in Chicago, I loved them in the winter for catching the muddy snow that melted off Nadia's rain boots. They are different than just using a towel because you can wipe them off if they get really wet, but if they only get a little damp, they dry out quickly. The protectors have a little bit of lip that also help contain all those Cheerios and raisins my kids eat. The very best feature is that they have a little lip that flops over the front of the seat, too! Seriously, you would never guess that I have two walkers riding around in my car - well, at least not from the condition of the seats!
