Review: Crazyoleez Crayons

I know it's only November 3rd, but I'm my mother's daughter, and I start thinking about Christmas way early! I'm not quite as bad as she is, considering I don't actually buy things the day after Christmas to give to people the next year, but I have been hoarding a few stocking stuffers in my closet for the last couple of months. Those $1 bins at Target get me every time! If you've started thinking stocking stuffers and are looking for something fun and unique for your little ones, then you have to take a look at Crayoleez Crayons! Click on Read more below for more about these fun and super-cool little crayons!

In lieu of an official review, I'm going to simply share our experience with Crazyoleez Crayons.

About a month ago, our Crazyoleez samples arrived in the mail. We were just getting moved in; so, I found a "safe" place to store them until I thought I was ready to watch my kids use them. I broke them out last week when Nadia announced, "Mom, I want to color!" She was immediately smitten with the bright crayons and got right to work using her pumpkin crayon. Isaac, too, loved his crayon, and it was fun to watch how each of them used the crayon differently. Nadia experimented with using both the edge of the crayon as well as the sides, and remarked on the way the colors blended, while Isaac just furiously scribbled on the paper. Either way, the crayon worked and the colors were vibrant! And, now we have some really colorful artwork to hang up in the playroom!

Unfortunately, not five minutes into the activity, Isaac dropped his leaf crayon on the floor of the kitchen while bringing me his artwork for inspection. It did not fare well against the cold tile. But, now instead of one pretty crayon he has two! At first Nadia was pretty mad at her baby brother, but quickly forgave him when she too realized that it now meant there were more of the colorful crayons to go around!

Crazyoleez Crayons are available in a ton of different shapes, including seasonal shapes. I will be buying up all the dinosaur shapes for Nadia's stocking this year, although I'll probably hold off on getting Isaac any more until he's older. I also think Crazyoleez would make great party favors, depending on your birthday party theme. I'm trying to figure out which will go with our Alice in Wonderland/Mad Tea Party/Unbirthday Party theme this year. I've also thought they would make a great surprise time killer for a long flight or car ride this holiday season. You could save them for a moment that calls for some new distractions! I'm sure I'm not even thinking of all the times Crazyoleez Crayons would be appropriate! I'm also certainly not suggesting that you replace every crayon in your house with Crazyoleez, but they are fun to look at and make the most beautiful scribbles I've ever seen!

At only $3 for the small shapes and $6 for the big ones, I suggest ordering your stocking stuffers early. Yes, I know, they are just crayons, but I confess to even coloring with them a little bit just because I couldn't resist seeing which colors were going to show up!

You can order Crazyoleez Crayons directly from the site, but also at a growing number of brick and mortar stores. Find one near you using this link. 'Tis the season for indulging your children. You might as well get started now!
