Ahh, potty-training. What is not to love about it? So much bonding time for you and little ones! Endless queries into the status of their bladders and then eventually you are so conditioned that you will scoop up your child and run like mad if they mention a word that even sounds remotely like "potty". Pretty glamorous lives we are leading here. Not to mention all of the dark, smelly, disgusting places that you get to visit in the early days of potty-training. Personally, I have a particular disdain for the new creepy toilets installed at our local parks- they are like toilets sitting on top of giant holes in the ground and there is a peculiar stream of air flowing out of them. I think that they are supposed to be environmentally friendly and they actually don't smell as bad as you would think, but I would still prefer not to perch my little pride and joy on top of them! That is why I welcomed the chance to try out the PottyFlip, a new product that puts a potty at your fingertips whenever you need one! Actually, we had the unique opportunity for three of us to try out the same product- one of us in Seattle, one in California and one in Michigan. I will write up the official review and will fill in the thoughts and comments of both Crystal and Nichole and their experiences with the PottyFlip.

The Official Review
Functionality: **** PottyFlip was there when I needed it and did the job that I needed it to do! It is definitely small enough to be toted around in a diaper bag (see the picture of it still in the wrapper sitting on my couch for comparison. Sure, I could have just measured it and told you the dimensions, but that would have required finding a ruler:)
Style **** It is no piece of art, but really it does not need to be- It just needs to get the job done! And as Crystal pointed out, it is "much better than a) watching my child squat by a tree in the middle of the park and b) better than dragging home a potty chair on my stroller, especially after a child that is not my own used it because I had brought it along" Eww. With regard to the design, I would say that my favorite feature is that it is biodegradable- makes me not feel bad for forgoing those creepy potties at the park in favor of this one!
Price:**1/2 Right now the PottyFlip website is having a special double offer- You can get 12 potties for $19.99, but you have to pay the $4.95 S&H charge twice. I go back and forth about this- Even with this deal I am paying $2.50 each time my kid has to go potty which seems a little crazy, especially with the frequency at which a toddler has to pee! But at the same time, we really only use it for emergencies when there is no bathroom in sight or when the closest one is unacceptable, and in those cases it has been pricele
Overall: ***1/2 Like I said, PottyFlip has come through for us at some critical moments! Nichole now carries one with her on each trip to the neighborhood park and has some stashed in the car for her family's holiday car trip to Southern CA. Crystal packed one up for a recent hiking trip and noted that "they would be great for long road trips across the Midwest when there's not always a decent bathroom when a toddler needs one." I couldn't agree more!
